Welcome back! Today, on Easter Monday, the players returned to the Rose Theatre after a 5-week hiatus during Lent. They opened their new season with a revival of The French Doctor, a lost play that you can read more about in the entry for 19 October.

The holiday season brought a large crowd to the playhouse today. The players must be glad to be back and they probably intend to stay here all summer as they did last year. However, as we will discover, there are stormclouds on the horizon for June. Stay tuned...
